Welcome to the Personal Page of

On March 23, 2023 I will sleep-out in solidarity with homeless youth and youth at risk of becoming homeless in Vermont. This is my 8th time sleeping-out for this great cause.
A few years ago was such an eye-opening experience for me: It was roughly 19 degrees and windy. Snow and ice covered the ground that we were "sleeping" on. There was a tarp on the ground, to lay our sleeping bags on; but, it was not waterproof (which I did not discover until it was too late). I had warm gloves and boots; a warm sleeping bag and extra layers of clothes on. But, little did I know, that all of that would not be enough to protect me from the cold and damp conditions of the night. Around 2am, as I lay in my sleeping bag, my body heat began to melt the snow and ice. The ice-cold water seeped into my sleeping bag and onto my clothes; and, I was completely soaked before I realized what was happening! Needless to say, I was miserable for the entire rest of the night!! But, this brought so much perspective to me: I had the means to obtain all of the supplies that I needed; yet, was still vastly ill prepared for this particular experience. Imagine being an at-risk youth; with no means to prepare for being without shelter. My spirits were not broken; because (through chattering teeth) I told myself: "it's only for a few more hours...you can do this". But, what if there was no immediate end in sight? This, among other reasons, is why I participate in this humbling event!
Please consider donating to this important charity and sponsor me as I sleep-out for Spectrum!
Everyone, especially our youth, should have a safe and warm place to go; when "home" is not an option. This particular charity has a special place in my heart, for so many reasons.
With your help, we are making sure that every teenager and young adult in our community has a place to go when they need help most.
Please help me reach my goal of $2,000.00!
