Hey All!

Another Sleepout for a great cause.  This will be my 8th time participating.  I am grateful for your support.

When I look at this event, I'm just glad:

     1.  That I have a choice to not sleep out

     2.  That I have gear rated for the conditions

Imagine being a kid whose parents throw them out of the house.

Imagine being a kid who suffers so much abuse that living on the street seems a better option than staying in your home.

Imaging being a kid who is mentally ill or has an addiction and just can't seem to make good decisions for themselves.

These kids don't really have a choice, and having seen and talked to some of them on the street, I can promise you that they don't have the right gear for winter sleep-outs.  

If Spectrum gets to just a fraction of these kids, and helps them find a better path, we will all reap the benefits of growing kids who have a better shot at success in their futures.  

Sleeping out and raising some cash for this is pretty easy math for me.
