What it means to me to "Sleep Out". My team and I, along with many other supporters of Spectrum are going to gather at the top of Church Street and sleep outside overnight. No tents, no "glamping"... just us in our sleeping bags, facing whatever weather comes our way. REMEMBER, this is happening in March, and in Vermont ;) Knowing the weather in this state, it's likely going to be very cold, uncomfortable, and I can safely assume that (seeing as I've never actually been camping before) I'm not going to be getting a very good night's rest. That being said, I knkow that the next morning, I'll have the luxury of being able to take a hot shower, buy myself a cup of coffee and head into work to start my day. It's easy to forget how many Vermonters don't have that kind of security in their lives.
I know that I wouldn't have the life that I do now if I didn't have the love and support from family members, mentors and friends to help me get through touch times. If you're like me, and are in a better place because you had the support of someone who cared about you, please consider donating to my page or sharing it on social media! No donation is too small, and every contribution helps. Please help me reach my goal!
With your help, Spectrum can make sure that every teenager and young adult in our community has a place to go when they need help most.
