Please help us reach our goal!
For the last five years, we have participated in Spectrum Youth & Family Services’ annual Sleep Out event. While we love supporting such an amazing organization as Spectrum, the Sleep Out itself is… more like a not-much-sleep-out.
Huddled at the top of Church Street, on the lawn of the eponymous church, we set up sleeping bags on cardboard boxes and actually try to doze off amid the surprising bustle of downtown in the wee hours. In past years, we’ve experienced sleet, snow, blistering winds, arctic lows, spring-like temps, drunk college kids yelling at 2:00am, the persistent beep-beep-beepof a Papa John’s delivery truck making what seems like a 14-point turn – and even a dumpster fire. Last year it rained like the dickens.
But it’s all worth it. So, next Thursday, March 21st, we’re going for year #6. We are asking for your support to reach our goal. Spectrum is a program that is very dear to us and we believe very strongly in the work they do in our community. Spectrum provides food, shelter, counseling, mentoring, and coaching on life skills to 2,000 at-risk and homeless teens and young adults each year in our communities.
We have set an ambitious goal of $5,000 and we need your help to get there. Anything you can give will make a big difference.
Thank you so much for your support of Spectrum Youth & Family Services.
With love and gratitude -
